About Us
In July 2009 Kiah-my companion and study partner-was killed and the opportunity to adopt a miniature Labradoodle named Daphne came along. Needless to say, I fell in love with the little bundle of joy that helped me get through the loss of my best friend. I had always planned on breeding Australian
Shepherds, but after bonding with Daphne and meeting other Labradoodles, I was quickly hooked and Ocean View Labradoodles was born.
Our breeding stock live as household pets, not kennel animals. If they do not live with me, they are placed in loving Guardian Homes. At minimum, the parents of our puppies have had testing done for hips, elbows, CERF, PRA, CBC, and thyroid.
All of Ocean View's puppies will be born and raised in my home. The whelping area is in my living room and when the pups are old enough to venture outdoors, an outdoor run area will be made available to them during the day. They are also introduced to a litter box early on, which will get them started on potty training before they leave Ocean View for their new homes. They will also be socialized with my other dogs, cats, and children to provide them with as many experiences as possible to lessen their stress when they leave my home.
Sharing this breed's wonderful qualities with others and maintaining the integrity of the Multigenerational Australian Labradoodle are the goals of Ocean View Labradoodles. My Labradoodles and I share the property with my parents who live next door with their Australian Shepherd Maisy, our two barn cats, and occasionally my horse Rocky on the beautiful Southern Oregon coast.
